Guests: Lots of kids and tiny tots and one surprise guest! Announcements: Board Meeting next week at 4:30! Thanks to the volunteers who prepared gifts for the Parsons Home patients. Main Program: Rotary had a surprise guest last night, all the way from the North Pole! It was Santa Claus! We knew we were in trouble when he came out and said “Hi Barbara!” to past-President Allen Brown and asked John Aukward’s sons if they were brother and sister. Santa was great! He took time out to visit with all the young girls and boys, gave them all hugs, and asked them to sit on his lap. He handed them all gifts when they were through. Thanks to Kyle Brown (grandson of Bob Brown) for helping hand out the gifts. Following the visit, the membership traveled to the Parsons home where there was entertainment from Salisbury’s own Peter’s Voice band (from St. Peter’s church). There was a great sing-a-long with the patient’s, Rotarian’s and all the kids. And lo and behold, Santa came to visit there too! The entire event truly brought the Christmas spirit to the Parson’s home. Patients from the Home received Christmas gifts from our Club. Fun was had by all. Thanks to past –President Tim Sargent for organizing and to Ginny Dulany, Tom Weiland and Kathleen McLain for all the all the behind-the-scenes activity to make such a successful event. 50/50 Winners: Bob Lawrence and Daniel Downes (nephew of past-President David Downes). $16 twice.
