Last Friday Cub Scout Troop 185 held an overnight campout at the RSCC. They took a night hike and learned how to pitch tents and focus a telescope. The scouts and their parents thank the club for making this type of scouting activity possible.

March Birthdays – Happy Birthday to Ace Parker, Fred Wierman, Don Taylor and Mark Thompson. Fred won the cake and shared it with the club.

Main ProgramWe celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with corned beef, cabbage, soda bread and all of the fixings. It was a terrific evening as Rotarians (decked out in green, of course) came out for an evening of fun and fellowship. John Broyhill gave a humorous two-minute talk, recalling a district conference held years ago in Baltimore. Ginny Dulany introduced Michael Brooks, a longtime friend of the Dulany family. Michael and his band had toes tapping and hands clapping as they entertained us with songs from the 1960s.  Now who were those three back-up singers? Events like this one look easy, but lots of detail work goes on behind the scenes to make them happen. Thanks to Ginny Dulany, Simpson Dunahoo, Jock McNair, and Dave Morgan for a great evening.

50/50 Winners: Mike Bloxham and Paul Johnston were the big winners this week!

       Enjoy Rotary!
