Thanks to all for celebrating this special occasion with us! 

Special Presentations:  In recognition of Four-Way Test Night, Louise Smith and John Cannon presented citations from the Salisbury City Council and the Wicomico County Council, respectively. Representing Delegate Page Elmore, Carolyn Elmore delivered citations from the Governor of Maryland, Maryland House of Delegates and the Maryland Senate.  Mike Abercrombie and PDG Art Goetz presented certificates and medallions to first-time Paul Harris Fellows Billie Cooley (Art accepted for her), Greg Ferrier and Lyle Sensenbrenner with second-time awards going to Joanna Abercrombie, Art Cooley and Phyllis VineyardVP Henry Vineyard received his fourth award, and PDG Art Goetz, an inspiration for us all, received his seventh award.

Main Program: Four-Way Test Night is always a memorable evening, and this year’s event did not disappoint. Thanks to Jock McNair and chef extraordinaire Molly Taylor, the meal was spectacular. Orville Penn, our Four-Way Test winner for 2007, gave a heartfelt, inspiring presentation on how he puts the Four-Way Test into practice in all aspects of his life. Orville has high energy, a great heart, and a strong record of community service.  Using the Four-Way Test in his dealings with others, he is helping people live better lives. The evening concluded with the naming of the recipient of the award for 2008.  Past President Allen Brown proudly announced that retired Superintendent of Schools Bill Middleton is the award recipient for 2008, noting his stellar work with Horizons, the United Way, Boy Scouts, and other civic endeavors. Kudos to Four-Way Test Committee members April Clyde (chair), Gary Mackes, Bob Brown, Art Cooley, Pete Cooper, Bill Cropper, Carolyn Hall and Don Taylor for an incredibly special evening that honored a very special individual!
