Vice President Henry Vinyard took a phone call from Santa Claus, who assured Rocky Burnett that he intends to join us for the December 13 meeting here at the RSCC (EARLY START at 5:30 pm).  Bring your kids, grandkids, or neighborhood kids.  Ginny Dulany reminded us that after dinner that night, we will reconvene at the Parsons Home at 7:00 pm to sing carols.  She passed a basket for contributions so that this year our gifts to the residents can be extra special.

Chris Layton needs some marksmen to help him round up game for next April’s wild game feast.  Really … no joke.  Sign up or tell Chris if you know how to shoot.

Program:        James Crouse introduced our speaker, Carole Chaski, Ph.D., an expert in forensic linguistics.  If you weren’t there it, it would take too long to explain, but suffice it to say we had a behind the scenes glimpse of what really goes on with those true crime TV shows.  Carole is a specialist in this still-emerging investigative realm, and she shared some fascinating examples of how her expertise helps solve crimes and in some instances exonerate the accused.

50/50 Winners:   $14.00 to Dave Downes and Jerry Truitt

       Enjoy Rotary!
