They work with the landowners to help determine the best available program for them through conservation easements. The Mission of the Land Trust is to protect the natural heritage, rural character, and historic landscapes of Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties, by assisting interested landowners to discover, evaluate and implement any of the available land preservation options. Kate described the benefits of land protection including: · economic and cultural benefits for forests and farmlands, · maintaining water quality by filtering out sediment and nutrients offering buffer protection, · enhancing air quality as plants act as air purifiers, · enhancing biodiversity of plants and animals and supporting some endangered species. 50/50 Winners : Again with a double-header: Mike Bernstein and Mike Bernstein!!
