Main Program:  DG Judy, a member of the Centreville Club, had met with the Officers and Board prior to the meeting to review our Club’s plans for 2007-2008. She expressed great enthusiasm for those plans. She confirmed that a new club is to start on September 12 in Ocean Pines. They will meet at 7:00 am at the Woodlands. The District Conference will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Annapolis from April 25-27, 2008. She also announced that the Rotary Foundation Dinner will be held November 8, 2007 at the Dover Air Force Base Museum. Judy encouraged us to participate in the Group Study Exchange, which this year is with a District in Belgium.

Her talk was very interactive with the Club. Building on the Rotary theme of Rotary Shares, she said that Rotary receives thanks from all over the world for the work of individual Rotarians and for the organized efforts of Rotary Clubs. Polio Plus and Ambassadorial Scholarships were two programs she detailed as having an impact on the world.  She asked in a friendly way what our Club had accomplished recently and received from our members a long list of recent accomplishments. In various languages she thanked the members of our Club for their efforts in such events as Meals on Wheels, bike rides, backpacks, Camp Fairlee Manor, scholarships, dictionaries and mentoring.

50/50 Winners:  April Clyde and Bob Widdowson, $18.00

       Enjoy Rotary!
